Spring

talesforlove

Dear friends,

Today is the World Day of Poetry and share here a poem by Pablo Neruda.

Spring

The bird has come
to give light:
from each of his trills
water is born

And the air flows between water and light
spring has already begun,
The seed that has grown knows
the root is depicted in the corolla
At last the eye

A simple bird did it all
from a green tree branch.

Emily Dickinson and feathers

talesforlove

When thinking about nature and Emily I found this poem where hope "has feathers".

This Spring...

Emily Dickinson a naturalistic poet...

“Hope” is the thing with feathers

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

Spring

talesforlove

Today we share a first poem about Spring. We need it so much.

It Felt like Spring, by Liselle P. (USA)

It’s home time, as I make my way down the long winding steps,
which feels like going down deeper into a dark tunnel that never ends.
As I pushed the door wide open, a soft, rush of cool air embraced my face
as if trying to say high and I miss you, let me give you a hug.
It felt like Spring; it’s in the air.
I smiled as the air captivated me and romanced me, the skeletal trees
swayed to the breeze, as pieces of its loved ones fell to the ground.
They didn’t mind, because they knew their glory will shine one day.
As they held on with their roots, their frames all dark, old, twisted
and bent, like an old bent lady with a walking stick, trying
to keep her balance. It’s just a matter of time to be alive.
As I walked along the sidewalk, the smell of Spring, the buds popping out
from plants as it signifies growth, life and another journey.
The green grass sprouts, given another chance to glistened in the sun
as the chlorophyl makes its green color shine once again.
The white mountains of snow still standing, perched upright,
as if looking into the heavens for their friends to come again.
The seagulls speak to each other in deep conversation,
as lost friends trying to catch up on the latest news
where to get the grubs.
Mother Nature is working her magic to bring back the bright light.
It’s slowly coming. I can feel it, smell it, and taste it.
I stood still, closed my eyes and let the moment captivate my mind.
A déjà vu experienced came over me, but it’s not over yet,
it’s just getting started and I will be here to
welcome you home Spring, fully.

Enjoy.
