Tomorrow? Poetry by Liselle P.
Dear Friends.
We are waiting for the arrival of the printed Anthologies and we hope this happens tomorow but Christmas and Covid-19 might delay the very expected moment.
While we wait here a poem by Liselle P.
They are Coming
Hear their hooves of the horses on the dirt path road coming to chase us.
What did we do wrong? The cries of children echo.
Mothers, Fathers RUN!!! RUN!!! RUN!!!
Don’t let them get us, we belong here just like everyone else.
Lives were built here. Children were born here.
This is all we know, we had to flee the hardship,
The pain and suffering. We ran, we left home,
and never looked back.
Took the chance didn’t have any status,
because we wanted to taste America. This is the
land of dreams and opportunities.
Just like milk and honey.
Are you mad at us because we want to live better?
How dare you judge us? Go back in your memory and think
for a second, when you wanted to breath fresh air,
and live a decent life.
Go back in your memory and think when you got turned down.
Just go back, and let the tears flow because you remembered.
But look what is happening now. You rush down here
to bully us and abuse us to get out?
FATHER!!! HELP US!!!! hear our cries, only god can see the evil of men.
They drag us up like filth and speak to us like we are dumb
They sending us back to torture. Back to hard life and poverty.
Don’t want to go, don’t want to go.
Can someone hear our plight? OH GOD NOOOO!!!
Save us please. The enemy is coming. IS COMING!!!!!!
Enjoy.
