Dear readers,

2nd Place

3rd Place

"RAIN ON THE DESERT"

Here the winning poem:

1 "Ocean Odyssey" by Amy Pacini (USA)

Traversing the barren beach

I search for solitude and tranquility

Eager to escape from the cacophony of life

I discover my aquatic sanctuary.

The cascading turquoise waves ebb and flow to joyfully greet the serene seashore

Cackling seagulls soar the cerulean sky

Before swooping down and landing on their familiar surfing ground.

I can feel the silky sensation of ivory pearl sand

As it gently caresses my sun-dappled skin.

The rising sunset reflects its pinkish-red hues along the hopeful horizon

As I saunter along the balmy beach

Awesomely amazed at the tantalizing tidal treasures

Embedded in the soft ribboned and rippled sand.

Intricately designed seashells and sand dollars

Smoothly textured stones and shiny sea glass enchantingly emerge.

I watch beach critters in utter fascination

As they collectively creep along the coastal carpet

Farther down the shore, I spot sea horses, urchins, and crabs galore.

Later I nautically nap in my teal lounge chair floppily topped with a flamingo pink straw hat

As beaming sunlit rays radiantly warm my reposeful soul

When I awake, it's time for a refreshing blueberry swirl ice cream cone and game of Frisbee.

Oh how I wish to stay permanently nestled in such breathtakingly beautiful beach bliss

It has become my lifelong song to be in a paradisial place where I belovedly belong

I have discovered sublime serendipity on this mesmerizing maritime ocean odyssey.

More information during the next days.

Enjoy.

Translation of a poem to Portuguese

talesforlove
Today a translation of the poem "Piano Ocean" to Portuguese is presented.

"Oceano de Piano"

Se é a voz das cavernas de ruídos profundos,

Oceânicas e corroídas letras,

A Besta a Este a coroa do pico,

Observe os mortos eles estão a dormir.

Forje os caminhos da neve e do gelo,

Veja os caídos em almas despachadas,

Pintado pelo bêbado e quebrantado,

Tocava piano num oceano de cor prata.

Enjoy.

Oceans of Spring

talesforlove

In 2018 this poem was born...

Claire O' C. (Cork - Ireland) - “Piano Ocean”

If it is the voice of cackled caves,
Ocean sworn and faded letters,
The East Beast the crown of the peek,
Watch the dead they are asleep,
Forge the paths of snow and ice,
Watch the fallen in souls dispatched,
Painted by the drunk and broken,
Played piano on a silver ocean.

Enjoy.

Winner - Poem - Invitation Literary Contest "Nature 2018-2019"

talesforlove

Dear Friends and Authors,

We are very happy to share with you this beautiful poem, by Clair O. (Cork – Ireland), the winner of the “International Literary Contest Nature 2018-2019”.

The Lady of Coram

Who is she wish of hand?

Fainted lady of Coram,

Calling to the frozen abyss,

Hush to the dead-

-Fast asleep.

Floating frozen ocean shore,

Lost of sight and broken sea floors,

Simple words that string the line,

Gain of nothing; lost of the divine.

She taunts them to escape frozen shores,

Under her rule of taunting pain,

Giving false hope to the frozen souls,

The lady of Coram owns the game.

What is her aim but to win?

She surely carries out her task,

Stay a moment and hear her callous laugh,

To silence the lost is her forte,

All the souls trapped in ocean ice,

Victims of directed fallen Angels winged in black,

The being of many names traps them,

Still to me she is the lady of Coram,

Calling to the dark I hear their roars,

It’s all I ever really hear,

Frozen soul, Ocean Sea,

I wait for the sun to set the shore alight,

Still all that is before me is the Ocean Coram,

I walk away all alone,

I ignore the lost and frozen,

Does that make me worse?

Still under all the façade-

Am I just like her - the lady of the dark.
